One of the most powerful aspects that makes VFS successful is our culture. Part of how we impact our culture is by staying connected with all of our employees. Every year at VFS, we host a Homestead Day, a day to bridge connections across departments, come together for a united cause, and show our appreciation for our company. We take pride in the work that we do for our customers, but we also take pride in where we work— our VFS home. From gardening and landscaping to dusting the office and detailing our trucks, everyone comes together to pitch in some good old-fashioned elbow grease and make this not only a fulfilling place to work but a pristine one at that!
Just because we work hard doesn’t mean we don’t play hard too! After the scrubbing, washing, and polishing are over, it’s time to enjoy the fruit of our labor. We spend the rest of the day with some fun-in-the-sun by getting to know coworkers, grilling out, and even throwing some competitive games into the mix! These games offer the chance to form stronger bonds within our company by creating teams of people who wouldn’t frequently have the opportunity to work with each other. This year’s tug of war tournament was the challenging and lively event of all events, a testament to the strength and determination of the amazing people we have here at VFS!
